The terms of using ZapQi

These terms apply when you make an account or links on ZapQi. They are short on purpose. Read them with the acceptable use rules, which they include.

Updated

Your account

You sign in with a code we send to your email address. Signing in for the first time makes your account. Keep access to that address: it is how you get back in.

Your links

You are responsible for the links you make and for where they lead. You can change where a link goes, pause it, or delete it at any time. A link that has expired or has been deleted can’t be brought back by changing it.

How many links you can make each month depends on your account. Your dashboard shows how many you have left.

What a link can and can’t promise

A one-use link is used up when someone opens it. We can’t confirm that the page it leads to then loaded for them.

A password stops people who don’t know it. It doesn’t stop someone you gave it to from passing it on.

The numbers we show are what we measured, with the limits explained in What we count. Estimates are estimates, not a count of people.

When we close a link

We may pause or close a link, or an account, that breaks the acceptable use rules, or that we are told to close by law. Anyone can report a link to us.

Keeping the service running

We work to keep every link answering, but we can’t promise the service will never stop or never lose a request. Don’t rely on a short link where a failure would put someone in danger.

Changes

When these terms change, we update them here and change the date at the top.
